What vaccinations are required?
The vaccinations that are required for both Daycare and Boarding are:
Dogs:
1. Bordetella
2. Distemper (DHPP)
3. Rabies
All pets must have current vaccinations administered by a veterinarian to participate in daycare or boarding at our facility. If your pet’s vaccinations are set to expire during their stay, they need to be updated beforehand, or their stay will need to conclude before the vaccinations expire. If you have a pre-scheduled vaccination appointment, proof of the appointment must be provided. For vaccination clinics, documentation showing the date and time of the clinic must be submitted in order to schedule future services.

Are Temperament Tests required?
Yes, all dogs must complete and pass a Temperament Test before attending our facility. The test is pre-scheduled for up to four hours, although the exact duration depends on the dog. If the test exceeds the four-hour timeframe, we will notify you immediately.
You can schedule the test under DAYCARE during our business hours, except for our lunch hour (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM). Please note that tests must be scheduled no later than 2:00 PM to allow enough time for completion.
Temperament testing is required for first-time guests or for any guest who has not visited our facility within the past six months. Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and positive experience for all our furry guests!
What if my dog does not pass temperament testing?
At Dogridge Boarding, we conduct temperament tests tailored to different boarding styles to ensure your dog is comfortable with our facility, staff, and other dogs. During the test, we observe your dog’s body language to confirm they are happy and relaxed in the group setting. We want this to be an enjoyable experience for them, and we never force dogs to participate in play.
Sometimes, dogs who do not pass for group play are still friendly but may lack confidence or prefer not to be in a crowd. In other cases, dogs may exhibit extreme anxiety while boarding, which can create an unsafe environment. Anxiety can sometimes cause behaviors that even owners haven’t seen before.
Our testing process ensures everyone at Dogridge Boarding is safe and happy. If a dog shows signs of extreme anxiety, such as attempting to escape, refusing interaction, or avoiding staff entirely, we may determine that our facility is not the best fit. In such cases, we will provide recommendations for alternative facilities or boarding options better suited to your dog’s needs.
Your pet’s safety and well-being are always our top priorities.

2. Dogs with extreme anxiety/fear.
3. Aggressive dogs towards staff members
4. Female dogs that are in heat (dogs who have been in heat within the last 30 days)
5. Guests that have a terminal illness and are in the late stages of the illness
6. Guests that have had a communicable illness of any kind during the last 30 days prior to check-in
7. Guests that require medical treatment beyond dispensing oral or topical medication (ie. shots, drains, bandage changes, seizures, sutures, etc.) unless treatment is prearranged.
8. Guests that have been in a shelter at any time during the 30 days prior to check-in

Is there an age limit?
Puppies must have all required vaccines and the final rounds of DHPP (distemper/parvo). Distemper/Parvo vaccines are typically administered in 3-4 rounds before receiving a final dose. Puppies must have final dosing and wait a 10 day wait period from the day the final dose was given before coming to the facility. Dogs that are 10+ may have a hard time when boarding. Senior dogs must be evaluated for boarding to ensure their safety. Evaluation is required for all first-time pets or pets who have not been to the facility within a 6-month period.
I have multiple dogs, can they board together?
Yes! Our facility is able to accommodate families of all sizes! We have 3 different boarding areas, we even offer discounts for owners that choose to board more that 1 dog.

Do all the dogs play together?
At Dogridge Boarding we have 3 different play yards! Small dogs play with small dogs and large dogs play with large dogs. Senior dogs will be placed in a safe and comfortable area chosen by our staff based on what’s best for their well-being.

What times are boarding dogs fed?
Feeding times may vary but a general description of feeding times is 7am and 4-5pm. If your dog requires special accommodation, please let us know and we are more than happy to accommodate feeding times.
Do you feed Daycare dogs?
Daycare dogs often aren’t interested in eating when pulled away from playtime; it's like asking a child to stop a party to eat their vegetables! Unless there’s a special treat involved, they’re usually not too thrilled. If your dog has specific needs or requires special accommodations, just let us know—we’re happy to help!
